Background This is a great opportunity for an experienced ecommerce manager to join a fast paced and profitable communications company and lead the online strategy. Reporting to the Sales Director, the role requires someone with commercial awareness and a demonstrable passion for ecommerce, online marketing, and the emerging world of social marketing. Previous online marketing experience is essential and preferably from a fast moving ecommerce environment. A proven record of managing campaigns across multiple channels is also a prerequisite of the role. The ecommerce manager must be a hands on person, who will manage the day-to-day tactical implementation of campaigns and continually strive to maximise the ecommerce revenues. The ecommerce ,anager will be commercially aware and you must thrive on working towards set targets, focusing on the acquisition of quality web traffic, whilst at the same time considering the impact on conversion rates and return on investment. Full training will be given covering the company's products and services and it will be essential that the successful candidate is IT literate with a passion and desire to learn. Main Duties and Responsibilities • Own and develop plans for delivering the ecommerce strategy • To exceed sales revenue and performance targets in line with Key Performance Indicators. • Full management of all online acquisition activity (PR, SEO, PPC, Social Media, Resellers, E-mail) • Initiating online PR and social marketing activities such as blogging, Facebook and Twitter. • Email marketing through a regular newsletter schedule, writing copy and selecting product for inclusion in emails. • Gather, cleanse and maintain accurate marketing data • Ensuring product features are updated and presented correctly and offers are promoted clearly • Competitor awareness and competitor proposition analysis • Project management liaising with internal and external development resource • Work closely and efficiently with Account Management team • Management of third party relationships (e.g. SEO, PPC providers) • Continual self development in understanding the company's products and services • Head up all on-line digital assets within the company, looking for fresh new ideas giving input to our in-house developers and keeping abreast of consumers changing habits/needs. • Any other unspecified duties that the Sales Director may reasonably require Individual Key Attributes • Reports to Sales Director A passion and enthusiasm for ecommerce • Demonstrable and proven experience in digital marketing and ecommerce specifically, with ability to plan and manage strategic marketing activities • Excellent communication skills both oral and written • Self starter with the ability to work independently as well as part of a team. • Process driven with strong organisational skills • Naturally target focused and delivery orientated • Able to demonstrate the highest levels of professional integrity and good business ethics Knowledge • Experienced in SEO and PPC campaign management • Working knowledge of web based analytics tools • IT literate • Business acumen and analytical skills Benefits • Office hours Monday to Friday • Target orientated bonus • 25 days holiday (plus Bank Holidays) • Warm, friendly working environment To apply Please submit a copy of your up-to-date CV, including your availability and current salary details, with a covering letter explaining why you are interested and what you can bring to Crosby Communications to: General Manager Crosby Communications UK Limited 62 Liverpool Road Crosby Liverpool L23 5SJ Due to spam and fraud it is company policy not to accept CV's by email. |
