Crosby becomes PayForIT compliant

Crosby today announced that all of its systems are ready for use with the new PayForIT mobile payment framework.

PayForIT is a joint initiative – involving all 5 UK networks – aimed at creating an easy and reliable means for mobile phone users to purchase goods and services over the mobile internet.

Whether making a one–off payment or setting up a subscription for a service, with PayForIT a consumer needs neither a credit card nor a bank account to buy over the phone. They don't even need to sign–up or register any details; all they need is their mobile phone.

When a user makes a purchase using PayForIT, the charge is added to their mobile phone bill by the seller. The framework that has been set up is designed to ensure that all users have a reliable and consistent payment experience when making purchases across all UK networks.
