Crosby Provides a Juicy Solution
To help the Liverpool based ever expanding Commercial Radio Station,
107.6 Juice FM, manage their studio telephone calls efficiently, Crosby
have supplied an innovative, low-cost service using their state of the art call
handling platform.
Juice have a large volume of calls coming into the studio during promotions,
competitions and general peak times. Being unable to answer calls effectively and
with a limited number of telephone lines and growing audience, there was need for a
more efficient solution than a simple queuing system.
The Crosby solution removes the need for multiple telephone lines at the studio
and the high capital cost equipment for answering them. With Crosby's interconnections
with BT, each call is answered at exchange level and offers each caller multiple options
according to the Radio programming. A range of features are now offered to each caller
such as direct access to the studio, direct access to the Juice FM box office, a request
line for callers wanting to request songs on air, and a Karaoke line that allows callers
to sing along to a song recently played on air.
A real-time Internet based extensive reporting package is supplied to enable access
to statistical data from callers. This information is invaluable and allows Juice to look
at information detailing, caller loyalty to the station, predict listenership in real-time,
look at geographical location of each caller and other real-time statistics.
As part of a compressive package, Crosby provided a range of services including BT
Value Call access lines, real time on-line statistics tailored for the broadcast industry,
national call numbering and access to its advanced call handling platform. In delivering
a complete solution, Crosby acted as the single point of contact throughout the project.
The solution was highly effective to install and 107.6 Juice FM expects to see a
return on its investment within six months.
Grainne Landowski, Programme Director of Juice FM said "Merseyside radio
is a very competitive market and we're constantly looking at raising standards;
that's why we got involved with Crosby in the first place. They're a young local
company who've really impressed us with their ideas and creative thinking.
Not only will Juice callers never get an engaged tone when they ring the studio
they'll be met with a range of options which will allow them to use the
station better."
Matthew Wilson CEO of Crosby said, "This has been our first installation
of our new suite of Broadcasting products and has proven to be a cost effective,
reliable and an innovative solution that fits well into the Radio Station."
