| On–going development of existing customer facing
websites, development of customer applications, projects
and testing, development of internal systems, technical
support and management of a small number of servers. |
Background
As part of the expansion of our internal team, we require an additional developer/support
person to join our existing team based in our Crosby, Liverpool office. You'll be
working in a small team developing web applications in an agile environment.
We're looking for smart people who love technology and want to work on innovative
web applications. You must have experience developing in the languages given below and
the ability to learn new languages quickly.
Your duties will include:
- Developing and implementing Asp.Net C#.Net websites, intranets, extranets, and
other browser based applications
- Developing new interfaces, systems, databases and web applications
- Modifying and developing existing systems
- Providing technical advice, assistance, and support to clients and members of the
design team
Person Specification
The successful candidate will have excellent communication skills with strong problem
solving abilities and proven experience of developing Web applications.
In addition you will possess the following technical skills:–
Experience
- Experience of at least 2-3 years with the IT Industry/computing.
- Extensive experience of .net, PHP, MySQL, SQL Server, Microsoft Windows
operating systems, Linux operating systems, computer hardware
- Experience of networks, TCP/IP would be an advantage.
- Several years of commercial experience and experience working in small to medium
sized development teams on IT and development projects would be an advantage.
Skills Required
- C#, .Net & ASP programming
- Object Oriented Design
- Relational Database Management Systems knowledge (RDBMS)
- HTML
- Javascript
It would be highly desirable to have any of the following:–
- Java
- Visual Studio .NET
- XML technologies (including Voice XML)
- IIS
- SQL Server administration
- Content management systems (CMS) development
- Experience in classic ASP
- A good knowledge of SharePoint
- Ajax
Additionally, you should have a flexible attitude, the ability to perform under pressure
and previous experience with highly technically minded applications and business concepts.
You will also ideally have previous experience of working on quick turnaround projects as
well as larger complex applications as part of a team.

Due to the nature of our client's projects it is essential that all applicants have
resided in the UK for the past 5 years in order to gain SC Security Clearance.
