Where does all the fax paper go?
There is no paper; the Crosby Fax system is totally automated.
We do not print out your faxes onto paper. As soon as your fax
is sent, it is received by our servers where it is converted
into an email attachment and sent to your email address.
Do I need a separate phone line for this service?
No, you do not need a separate phone line as your Crosby Fax
number dials directly into our servers, answering the calls
and converting the fax to your email address. You pick up your
faxes wherever you check your email.
Do I need to have a fax machine as well as this service?
No, all your faxes can come through your fax to email service.
If you already have a fax number, on say business card and letter
heading, you could get BT to divert your fax number to your
Crosby Fax number. BT would charge you for this service but
it would only have to be a temporary set up until your customers
switch to your new fax number.
Can I use the Crosby Fax service as an overflow for my existing
fax machine?
Yes, if you get BT to divert your fax machine to your Crosby
Fax phone number when busy or unanswered.
