Technical Details
Faxes for transmission can be submitted to us in any of the following formats:
- Plain email.
- HTML email.
- HTML string.
- HTTPS string.
- XML Over HTML.
- SMPP
If you want to attach files for transmission to be included in your fax, we support the
following documents when attached to a plain or HTML email:

Microsoft Word documents.

Microsoft Power Point presentations (PPT)

Adobe PDF documents.

Plain text files.

TIFF ITU-T.

TIFF ITU-T G3.

TIFF ITU-T G4.

JPEG.

PNG.

BMP.
-
PCX.

DCX.
We support a maximum file size of 8MB on each attachment for transmission.
Additional Features available
When using our external interfaces to send faxes, we provide the following additional
options (as documented in our generic interface):
- Selection between Portrait/Landscape page layout.
- Page Size: width and height.
- Margins: left, right, top and bottom.
- Resolution (pixels per inch): horizontal/vertical settings.
- Fonts: code page, proportional font, fixed width font, and base font size.
- Header: height and contents.
- Footer: height and contents.
Crosby has a generic interface for all its voice, fax, SMS and broadcasting services. The
only thing you would need to change when using our fax gateway would be the media type.
