"Text 2 Call" is an innovative yet simple application that enables potential customers to establish a free phone connection with your company by simply texting a keyword to a 5–digit number.

In doing this, "Text 2 Call" allows potential customers to connect directly to your company for just the price of a text message, and saves them from having to memorise the long phone numbers usually seen on advertising banners and billboards. It also negates the need for you to use freephone services or advertise your main business phone number.

How it works

  1. We provide you with a "keyword" of your choosing (this could be your business, product name or anything), and a 5-digit shortcode.
  2. In response to an advertisement, potential customers simply send a text message containing the keyword to the shortcode.
  3. Within a few seconds the texter's phone rings, and they are automatically connected to a member of staff at your company.

Benefits

  • Call back all potential customers, placing them on your regular switchboard just as if they have rung in directly.
  • Allow potential customers to get in touch with you for just the cost of a text message.
  • View and manage your calls through an admin system. Set a call–back spend budget (per day, night, week or month) so you are always in control of your costs.
  • Set a threshold limit so that when all your phone lines are busy, texters will be sent a text message explaining that they will be called back shortly, saving you call charges for people hanging on and avoiding their having to queue.
  • Build up a database of contact numbers containing the mobile number of every customer who contacts you by text, and send promotional text messages in the future.
  • Save your staff having to waste valuable time calling people back.
  • Customise the system easily to suit your specific business needs.

Application

"Text 2 Call" is highly versatile and its simplicity means that it can be applied across a wide range of situations.

"Text 2 Call" is ideal for:

  • Any business which is contactable by telephone.
  • Any company which uses advertising media through which it's difficult to communicate a full telephone number effectively – it is almost always a lot easier for potential customers to remember a keyword and a 5–digit shortcode than a full business telephone number.
  • Radio/TV Stations wanting to promote audience participation (e.g. see our StudioText product).
  • Any business that wants to deliver the "wow" factor to its customers.

What do I get?

For a modest setup charge and a small monthly fee, we will provide the following:

  • A unique "keyword" for use with one of Crosby's shortcodes.
  • A recorded introductory message for use when the system calls people back, welcoming callers to your business before connecting them to your office (optional at no extra cost).
  • An online reporting tool which allows you to view real–time statistics relating to the service, including the number of calls you’re getting, and the mobile numbers of people texting in. See our Statistics Application for more details.

Extras

If you would like to charge the respondents for your call back, we can implement a premium billing facility. This will charge anyone receiving a call a pre–set amount (specified by you) of which you will receive a share.

Try it out

Try "Text 2 Call" for yourself now. Simply text the word "callme" to 80006 (the message will be charged at your usual standard text message rate).
