| The system handles both debit and credit cards
and can be set to make regular credit card charges. It can
work independent of other systems or be fully integrated
with existing payment and accounting systems. |
Telephone Payments
The Crosby IVR voice response computers conduct fully automated
conversations with the caller on each line. Callers choose the payment
they wish to make, key in their invoice/account number on their telephone
and specify the amount they wish to pay. This may be checked against
the database of expected payments. Callers then enter their debit or
credit card details. The caller can enter a product ID from a website
or choose to buy something on line if required.
Card Authorisation
Crosby IVR can be set to check for "hot" cards and to obtain an
authorisation code whilst the payee is completing the transaction.
Once authorisation is obtained, payment is assured and the payee knows
there were sufficient funds available to complete the transaction. This
is done via your own merchant account with your bank.
Security
Crosby IVR uses the banking standard encrypted messaging from the
system to the card companies. The credit card sub-system provides a
complete audit trail, which is securely backed up and can be exported
to other payment systems.
Statistics and Management
Reports may be produced showing daily totals and transactions by
value, type and time. Reports are also available showing "hot"
card payment attempts, failed authorisations and failed banking.
Audit trail reports are produced daily and all card payment
information archived. The Crosby IVR reporting package includes
telephone line utilisation information.
Benefits
Automated payment systems meet a strong customer need to make
payments at a time and in way of their choosing. Telephone payment
is particularly attractive to rural payees who are remote from the
banks and post offices. Automated payments virtually eliminate
the labour involved in processing payments. Cash is available earlier
and peak loads are met without delays.
Applications Development
Designed as an open system, additional applications can be developed
to meet the unique requirements of your business. This can be a joint
development if required.
Transcription
Some Crosby IVR transactions may also require information captured
during an automated call to be stored as recorded voice. This is later
replayed to enable the information to be transcribed into the database.
Electronic forms can synchronise the data capture to the replayed speech;
to minimise errors, postcode and electoral role data can be used to confirm
name and address details. This information can be posted on our secure
website or emailed to you on a per transaction basis.
If needed we can also have built into the application options to
allow the caller to be transferred to a Live Operator at our end or yours.
This can be achieved by the caller pressing a number to be connected to an
operator if they are having difficulty using the system or simply if the
card is rejected.
Payments
Please note we DO NOT pay you any money. We use the existing
merchant account you have with your bank. It works just like having
a credit card machine at our end. We act as an operator inputting these
details on each transaction. All this is done automatically by leased
line connections with the relevant banks.
Any monies owed will be paid by your own bank and any fees will be
charged to you by your own bank.
