Crosby IVR System Fax Features

>Fax has been around for a good number of years now, and most businesses have fax machines but just imagine the benefits of fax integrated with IVR. Crosby IVR now has this ability and can include receive/send fax functions into most applications. Fax allows your callers to download visual content that you can catalogue and store inside your application.

Incoming faxes can also be received by your application, faxes received can be emailed to you as a file that can be opened on your computer as a tiff image file.

Many customers use our fax service to provide written information to customers that can be obtained by any fax machine around the world.

Receiving Faxes

Using our IVR system we can build a fax reception facility to work anywhere in your application. When we receive the faxes we can pass them to another process as follows:

  • Send the fax out to you as an email, detailing duration of call, time and date of fax, caller id, baud rate received and the fax itself as a TIFF.
  • Store the fax into a fax box so you can call from any fax machine around the world to collect at your leisure.
  • Transmit the fax to another fax machine, received with cover sheets and polling features if required.
  • Post the fax to you by any means you request.

Sending Faxes

Sending faxes again can be incorporated into almost any application we build. You supply us with the documents that need faxing and we will transmit them to the person's fax machine in the order you specify. This can be a single document to a complete catalogue of selected documents that can be requested for by using touch-tone as usual. Once we send the fax we can still continue with a voice call if required.

Fax-On-Demand

Using fax on demand you can allow your callers to select documents to be sent to them over the phone by keying in the number they require. Fax on demand is a simple menu driven system and has many features:

  • Many documents available from one single call.
  • Documents can be of any length.
  • Index of available documents available to all callers if required.
  • Callback to save the caller money is available, if required.
  • A Customer Services line also available, if callers are experiencing difficulty using the service they can press a key to be transferred to our operator or your office if required and still have all the features of out bound call.

Fax Services For Premium Rate

With premium rate you will want to make sure that the caller pays for what they are calling for and you get enough revenue to support each fax. When receiving/sending faxes we can do any of the following to increase revenues:

  • Store the station ID as your premium rate number.
  • Slow down the baud rate so faxes take longer to make the whole call last until the required time, thus increasing connection times.

Fax To E-mail

As standard we can provide fax to email on any marketing numbers you wish. The email is sent with call details inside the email like detailing duration of call, time and date of fax, caller id, baud rate received and the fax itself as a TIFF file which can be opened in any standard windows viewer. You can now get a free fax to email service by clicking here.

Caller ID Blocking For Fax

Using the incoming caller ID we can block callers from reaching a part of your application. Even before the call has started we can check against a "blacklist" to see if they are entered. This is most useful for things such as junk faxes which waste our resources and more importantly your own.

The information provided here is only an outline of what we can do. If you are looking to do something more complex than anything above, or would like to find out if we can customise your application, we would like to hear from you. Please contact us.
